How to improve the smelting speed of intermediate frequency induction furnace?

1、High quality die steel raw materials are selected for intermediate frequency furnace smelting. High quality raw materials should be selected as far as possible in the smelting of die steel. The content of S and P in scrap steel should be low, and other harmful elements as, Sn, Pb and Cu should be strictly controlled. Scrap scrap should be used as much as possible (preferably return material in this group) or high quality pig iron. When oxidizing method is used to smelt, the amount of carbon removed during oxidation should be ensured as far as possible.

2、High quality refractories are used for intermediate frequency furnace smelting. When using medium frequency furnace to smelt die and mould steel, high quality and refractory refractories should be selected. If the furnace lining can choose high-quality magnesia-carbon brick, ladle generally choose high-alumina or magnesia-carbon brick, including pouring refractories must pay attention to.

3、Argon blowing in intermediate frequency furnace smelting and smelting. In the process of smelting die steel, argon blowing stirring can speed up the floatation of inclusions and make smaller inclusions float easily by collision and polymerization, but the amount of argon blowing should be controlled properly. If the flow rate of argon blowing is too large or the time of argon blowing is too long, the steel slag will be entrapped into the molten steel, which will bring about More slag or inclusions, and at the same time reduce the temperature of molten steel too much. Synthetic slag is used in intermediate frequency furnace. Adding specially configured slag to molten steel can strengthen the transformation process from harmful impurities to slag. There are many formulations of synthetic slag and many ways to add it. When it is necessary to remove some non-metallic inclusions, the corresponding synthetic slag is selected.
